• Red-pigmented mould인 Monascus purpureus로 쌀알을 발효시킨 Red yeast rice (RYR)은 동아시아 국가에서 treat blood circulation stasis, indigestion 및 limb weakness를 위해 Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)에서 사용해 왔습니다.
• Red yeast rice (RYR)에는 monacolins, pigments, organic acids, sterols (β-sitosterol, campesterol, stigmasterol, sapogenins) 및 flavonoids가 포함되어 있습니다. Red yeast rice (RYR)의 가장 두드러진 성분은 mevinolin으로도 알려진 monacolin K입니다.
• Red yeast rice (RYR)에는 rubropunctatin 및 monascorubrin (orange–red)과 reduced forms인 monascin 및 ankaflavin (yellow)을 포함한 여러 색소가 포함되어 있습니다.
